Orkney RFC bow out of Bowl competition

A 59-0 defeat away to Scottish National League Division 1 side Preston
Lodge has seen Orkney RFC bow out of this season's Scottish
Hydro-Electric Bowl.
The Prestonpans side, who are three leagues above Orkney, had only
narrowly defeated Division 5 (East) side Broughton FPs 27-25 in Round 1
of the bowl, but they were too strong for the travelling Orkney side in
Saturday afternoon's second round clash.
Orkney, who now make the long trek back to Scrabster to catch the ferry on Sunday, due to the NorthLink refit timetable, are next due in action at home to Aberdeen University RFC in Caledonia Division 1 next Sunday, March 1.
