Incline reason for remedial visit
20/11/2009 08:47:00
A SITE visit was due to take place this week to discuss the problems with the lairage facility at Hatston.
The visit, which was planned for Wednesday afternoon (yesterday)
follows on from a previous meeting which took place last week when OIC
engineers and architects met with the director of marine services Nigel
Mills last Wednesday to discuss remedial works at the Hatston lairage
facility.
The council says that those attending the site visit will discuss
possible solutions with users of the facility, including various
options for removing the incline at the loading area.
The site visit will be observing a shipment of livestock, and will be chaired by councillor Jim Foubister.
The site visit team includes director of Marine Services Nigel Mills,
head of Marine Services (Support) David Sawkins, OIC engineers and
architects.
Local vets and hauliers have been invited to attend, as have NorthLink
as operator of the building and its subcontractors John Jolly.
