A modern and peaceful crusade to Palestine
12/03/2010 09:00:00
BRYAN Milner, of Rousay and secretary of Orkney Friends of Palestine, recently spent twelve days in Israel and Palestine meeting various supporters of justice for the Palestinian people.
There are many groups, including Israeli ones, actively trying to promote a genuine peace process.
A major symbol of the partition and illegal annexation of Palestinian
territory is the 20-foot high wall that the Israeli government has
built, and is still building, well into the West Bank and around
Jerusalem.
Bryan will be making a presentation about his visit at an open meeting
tomorrow, Friday March 12 at 7.30pm in the St Magnus Centre.
Peter Breingan, chairman of the Orkney Friends of Palestine, said:
"Don't miss this opportunity to find out more about the real situation
in this deeply troubled part of the world, which has so much impact on
the rest of the world, but very little positive political action,
either locally or internationally."
